Discovery Journaling Workshop & Networking Event
Discover. Reflect. Connect. Join us for a Discovery Journaling Workshop with Lani Almanza on Thursday, May 22 | 5–7 PM at Hale Ana, YWCA Kokokahi campus. Enjoy pupus and drinks while being gently introduced to journaling as a tool for self-discovery and wellness. $20 includes pupus, drinks, and a mini journaling kit to get you started. Speaker(s): Facilitated by Lani Almanza Lani is a writer and author of Under a Full Moon and a Guiding Star, and wellness consultant with her business, Alaka’i Associates. Throughout her professional career she has been committed to creating healthier lives and communities. Lani holds a Master's degree in Communication from the University of Hawaii, Manoa, and has worked in various leadership roles related to health communication and community engagement. She was born and raised on the Windward side of Oahu in Hawaii. Her life experience includes: wife, mother, and grandmother; as well as a teacher, trainer, and facilitator in education, business, and non-profit environments. In addition to her work with Alaka'i Associates, Lani is a contributing editor for the online magazine, Givers Guides, which supports the nonprofit organization Gimme A Break, for which she also volunteers as COO. She also facilitates wellness retreats and provides wellness workshops for community groups.
