The Introduction to America's Seed Fund, Funding for Innovators is a webinar discussing how the Hawaii Technology Development Corporation (HTDC) can help you start small business. The Hawaii Small Business Innovation Research Program (HSBIR) is administered by HTDC and provides matching grants to help Hawaii companies further research and development of new products to solve critical national issues. About the program: • One of the largest sources of seed capital in the United States • Support companies in developing new innovation through Federal research funds to solve critical conditions • Offers up to 50% match • Able to apply for reimbursement for grant writing costs of their initial grant application • $4 billion set aside annually • Not a loan - no payback • Non-dilutive funding • Supports R&D and financing of cutting-edge technologies
