Non-Profit Toolkit Part 1: Non-Profit, Not-for-Profit? What's it all About?

If you or your group are developing a new program or initiative to help solve a social problem, then this workshop is for you! The NON-PROFIT TOOLKIT is presented by the Patsy T. Mink Center for Business and Leadership for aspiring social entrepreneurs and new non-profit managers. This entry level course will explain: • How and why the non-profit business model works for those focused on community development • How to get organized • The basics of non-profit funding and management • Shifting paradigms in social responsibility: a look at the emerging “for-benefit” business model
